With all due respect, those aren't overtones those are facts that are documented in the story and I'd be happy to add on if you like. There are actually white people planning to start a race war. The fear of the revolution of Black people is a constant throughout history. I don't know what urban area is closest to you but there is a good chance the federal government has provided the local police with military weapons up to and including tanks and armored vehicles.

Patrick Henry's famous quote came from someone who deprived Black people of their liberty. He owned over a hundred slaves and when he died, left them to his wife and children, suggesting to his wife she could free one or two if she desired. Henry spoke a lot about abolition and freeing slaves but when it came to his personal life, he only accumulated them.

Read up on the Mulford Act which I referenced. When else in history has the NRA advocated taking someone's guns away except for Black peoples?

Since the Civil War there has been some form of mass incarceration disproportionately affecting Black people Relevant to this conversation, that deprives them from owning guns. Regarding the way some people have been stockpiling guns, you could easily document that yourself. It's going on in plain view.

Yes, there are some Black people who have no business with guns and do bad things. There is no movement to start a race war to wipe out white people because even the craziest of Black people know they are totally outgunned as has always been the plan.

Self-defense doesn't know color but the likelihood to need it grows exponentially when you are a person of color. It's not paranoia if people are actually out to get you.
