When I first started writing it was for free with no thought of income. After joining Medium I appreciated it for the opportunity to get paid for doing what I would have done anyway. I still write on the topics I like and mostly for love though I will write more often because of the money. I also enjoy having my work read which is half the reason I follow my stats (the other part is money). I am annoyed with this Medium glitch but not enough to walk away and stop writing about the topics I choose for love and money.
