What Happened To Tamla Horsford?

“It’s impossible to get the injuries that she had from one fall,” — Michelle Graves.

Tamla Horsford was a 40-year-old married mother of five. We don’t usually speak of 40-year-olds in the past tense, but here we are. Tamla attended a “Football Moms” adult sleepover with seven other women. Some attendees described it as “female only,” yet three men were present, including the boyfriend of the woman hosting the party. On November 4, 2018, Horsford was found dead in the backyard of the Cumming, GA home outside Atlanta, where the party was held.

The homeowner’s aunt discovered the body at 7:30 am. Jose Barrera, the homeowner’s boyfriend, called 9–1–1 at 8:59 am, almost an hour and a half later. One might wonder why it took so long to call for help?

Tamla arrived the night before at 10:00 pm, according to witnesses. She and everyone else were drinking, and they played a card game, Cards Against Humanity while watching football. Witnesses say Horsford got up around 2 am to smoke a cigarette on the back porch, and that was the last time she was seen alive.
