They informed on Denmark Vesey and Gabriel Prosser, not so much Nat Turner who limited his core group to about five people he could trust and counted on getting people to come along once the revolt began. To be fair, some of those Black people were motivated by saving lives and not just denying others freedom. While Vesey would have had superior numbers for a while. White people from every surrounding state would have come down on them. Freedom would not have been the end result, unless you consider death freedom.
