They are being banned in schools and sometimes in public libraries; they also cannot be taught as subject material. In almost all cases the bannings are spearheaded by right-wing politicians proving to their bases that white/straight people can't be marginalized. You can Google the name of each book (except Roots) to see where it has/is being banned.
