"There are a few clauses in the Constitution that address slavery, but if you read the Federalist Papers or any of the writings of the people at that time, you'll find only passing mentions of slavery. These people had many concerns other than slavery; in fact, slavery just wasn't an important issue in the overall debates. The world did not revolve around black people."

The Constitution itself doesn't mention slavery until the Thirteenth Amendment, yet the Electoral College, Three-Fifths clause, and Article One, Section Nine, Clause One, and Yes, The Second Amendment were all about slavery which was already the base on which the economy was built.

You were correct that many people were staunchly against the institution of slavery. However, their input meant nothing as many concessions were made to get the Southern colonies to join the union, The Connecticut Compromise was also designed to appease slave states.

No they didn't talk openly about slavery in their nice documents. Please read Thomas Jefferson's letter to George Washington where he outlined the value of slaves giving birth and how a female slave was worth far more than a laborer. I have no need to make up facts, I am merely revealing them. As for the Second Amendment, Slaveowners were far more worried about the perceived threat from within than Native Americans. Their response to the Haitian Revolt and Nat Turner was especially telling. Almost as much as Nathaniel Bacon getting white and Black Indentured servants and Black slaves to join forces and revolt in Virginia.

As far as what you find exaggerations about the Constitution, I did make one. It wasn't designed to benefit white people in general. Just land-owning, white males.
