That "extra holidy" only for Black people came about in the midst of the turmoil after George Floyd. It was in lieu of doing anything meaningful like police reform. I don't write to rile people up but instead to enlighten them. If you think race is overemphasized, eliminate systemic racism, voter suppression and the massive inequality and there will be no reason for anyone to dwell on it. Consider me counter-programming to the lies taught in schools and by our politicians.
