Thank you for sharing, Claire. I was diagnosed with prostate cancer, maybe five-years ago. During each step, and more importantly waiting between steps (biopsy, diagnosis, second opinion, radiation treatment, post-treatment) I remained positive because I knew there was more for me to do.
I do encourage you to get a second opinion if you haven’t. The surgeon I saw suggested a surgical solution, another urologist said radiation was best. You’ll have to di a little research to bake the best decision for you based on the facts.
I mostly forget I ever had cancer, I was determined not to let it define me which I handled by only telling people on a need-to-know basis. Your way might be better for you, your attitude is inspirational.
