Technically, there were two people called out by name in the story but that wasn't the point. Wherever there were white people in Japan at that time, there were Black people whether they be slaves, crew, servants, or otherwise. The crews of Spanish, Portuguese, and Dutch ships visiting Japan had slaves or Black crew members. We've seen the ships as the history couldn't be told without them. Where were the Black people. The Jesuits had slaves and Blacj servants. Where were they. Their absence means changing history. I am asking why.
