“Proving in your adult life” one isn’t racist isn’t the general standard, but if you’re explaining why you were pictured standing wing a group that forcibly kept six kids from going to school for being Black and you’re a public figure, it applies to you. When in fact you (as Jerry Jones has) have recently taken stands on multiple issues some consider racist, The picture adds to an existing theme and his adult actions go a long way toward setting the record straight. Many people who do know him have looked at his record and found him wanting. If you know nothing about football and Jones you wouldn’t know he’s never hired a Black head coach and very few other coaches.

Maybe you don’t know much about basketball or LeBron James who is routinely asked questions about racial matters having nothing to do with basketball. So much so that Fox News host Laura Ingraham told him on air to “shut up and dribble,” The suggestion of guilt was already following Jones, the picture didn’t help his cause.
