I would agree with you that some of the terms are generally known but in America, there is a gross misunderstanding of what they were and/or did. Affirmative Action for example is only currently spoken of in negative terms and where it still exists it is being dismantled. There is a narrative that it consists of “free stuff” and there is no countervailing viewpoint or historical documentation to dispute it.
