You think others see your exterior, and it’s all they notice
I see your beauty in spite of all else
You don’t want to be thought of as beautiful lest any attraction be shallow
I see your appearance as a reflection of your soul
I know the beauty of your words and your mind
The blessing and curse of empathy that never lets you forget the plight of others
I see the drive void of ambition
The inability to cause others pain
The desire to avoid the shallowness your looks attract
You allow yourself to see the Africa in you and know that it is good
If you saw you as I do, you’d know that you are rare and unique
Many pretty women are obsessed with their own appearance and make their way on looks alone
Looks that will one day fade…
Your beauty comes from the good within you
It is God herself saying, “This is my child, and I am most proud”
