If I lived in Africa and the history of my nation was not only being suppressed but covered up with a sugary replacement, I would write about that too. For most Americans, Black and white, I'm not reminding them of anything but revealing something rarely taught and even less frequently discussed. Every time I hear a politician speak reverently of the founders, I want to vomit a little in my mouth.

This is not the culmination of knowledge of white history but the tip of the iceberg. It may be too late to change the past but perhaps the future can be influenced by people more knowledgeable of their history.

“Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.” George Santayana
