I was only speaking to intent, not about whether it was criminal. If you were the person experiencing the overdose, you might want a cop speeding to the scene. I don't know what the policy is about speeding during an emergency, maybe the cop is or isn't guilty of a crime, that will play out. I'm good with "accident" which doesn't exclude negligence or criminal responsibility.
