I was being even-handed. When I gave them credit for what they once were, I was right. When I outlined what they became, I was illogical. My "hypothetical" was only because you asked what Republicans should have done differently. Their action (and inaction) ended Reconstruction and eliminated Black representation in Congress and state legislatures. Segregation was legalized. How exactly did that make lives better for Black people?

I'll allow you the final word. I likely won't respond as I see this conversation as a waste of time. Maybe you can quote Kanye, or give me more Candace Owens. Thanks sincerely for engaging.
