I read the article and I'm generally impressed with the end result of the show, with the one exception I've pointed out. Showgun represents a period no one alive lived through and Japanese History is no more tamper proof than a Florida textbook.
I could easily agree that Black people didn't exist in great numbers but not as many have tried to tell me that they didn't exist at all. Where they did exist was among the Europeans represented including the Christians and seaman who we've seen enough of that Black people shouldnhave been present.
If you want to discuss that the proverb I cited may have meant something different or debate how it originated, that's fine. There should be no debate as to whether it was an actual saying. I have no idea how widespread it was but am positive it existed. Hopefully we can agree I didn't make it up.
