I never suggested any the veracity of any of the figures were in question. I cited two historians and provided an article written by one. Perhaps you can be specific as to what you found questionable? Because you weren’t taught it doesn’t mean it wasn’t so. My next article will be on the need for a White History Month because so much has been left out. I’m curious as to your familiarity with Black Wall Street, Juneteenth, the Ocoee Massacre, the Trail of Tears, Rosewood (perhaps you saw the movie), the Breeding Farms? There is so much that history books chose to overlook but the numbers as to individual’s slave ownership weren’t among them. People kept track of their assets which is how we know. I can also refer you to this book should you be interested in further documentation regarding the railroads.
