I need to thank the talented group of writers who without hesitation agreed to participate in this project. Being a Black writer necessitates a connection with our history and their willingness to share speaks to who they are.
For some it was a continuation down a path they were already traveling. For others a stretch of their familiar talents into new territory. All gave us new insight and understanding for which I am eternally grateful.
I thank Clay Rivers for pushing me out of my comfort zone and his continual encouragement. Take care all and be safe which is the ongoing mantra of the 2020s.
