I liked the Hamilton version until the very end when they credited Jefferson for ending the International Slave Trade 0n 1807 (which he did) but not making it clear it was a protectionist measure designed to increase the value of excess slaves i9n Virginia, Maryland, and Delaware. That stroke of the pen increased the value of domestic-bred slaves and encouraged the forced breeding and rape of slaves the song suggests he was against.
