I haven't claimed none of the authors of the Constitution were opposed to slavery. I have inferred that they were able to overlook their objections and gave the slaveholding states enough to get them to participate. If I haven't addressed all your points it's only because you have raised so many while I am attempting to narrow the focus.
The Electoral College which was my initial focus was part of the Connecticut Compromise and the issue of slavery, I submit was what was behind the small state, large state discussion. The same principals are what gives small, predominantly white states the ability to have a disproportionate sway over policy today like it kept slavery alive for several decades after the Constitution was signed.
BTW, I didn't mention bans on slavery in the Northwest Territories in 1787 or any of the other compromises which kept slavery out of some areas while allowing it in others because it didn't take away from the main point.
