I have to disagree with your premise that HBCUs are generally named after "white oppressors." More than half are named for the states/cities they represent. Some are named partially or wholly after Black people like Bethune-Cookman and Morris Brown, Some are named after the philanthropists that made them possible or representatives from the Freedmens Bureau. None come to mind that honor oppressors.

I went to Fisk, named after Ge, Clinton B Fisl with the Freedmens Bureau. I assure you that Fisk Students don't honor its white namesake but W.E.B. DiBous, John Hope Franklin, Nikki Giovanni, Diane Nash, John Lewis, and others.

You did name schools honoring some very bad people but they are all predominantly white. None of your examples make the point you hope to.
