I don't think it took a long period for the students to be seen as right. The narrative was pretty well established by the time the students gained enough power to write it. On the other hand, the George Floyd protests were rewritten within months where the protesters are mostly seen as the bad guys. I think the forces supporting Israel no matter what they do are far stronger than the supporters of the Vietnam War were. We will see.
