I don't believe everything written by a racist is racist in and of itself. They may have views on things that are race neutral, yet given enough time and space, there racism will come through and in the cases of the Founders, it becomes the policies and laws that are the foundation of the country. I should have gone on to say that the Supreme Court itself that is the arbiter of what stands has rarely failed to support whiteness. There has never been a time when they weren't dominated by white males and they have given us Plessey v Ferguson and Dred Scott. To this day they support voter suppression laws and have weakened or found unconstitutional every Civil Rights Act and Voting Rights Act since 1875.
