I didn't end the discussion, I can agree with you only in that race not only doesn't trump class, it was invented by class after Black slaves, Black indentured servants, and white indentured servants combined during Bacon's Rebellion to attack Jamestown. The thought of the entire lower classes joining forces forced the powers that be to stratify them by race.

We disagree on everything else you said. No matter what the law said or didn't say, it was implemented by those who did what they wanted which the law generally allowed. You support your theories not with facts but beliefs, many of which aren't documented by the actual history.
