I’ve never found a good definition for “whitesplaining” until now. Telling black authors what their role should be instead of what they’re saying. Your “worse” by bringing up the harsh realities of America’s past is someone else’s enlightenment. Saying, it doesn’t matter what America’s racist past is, doesn’t take into account that our present is built on the exact same principles. The Electoral College, for example, is benefitting the exact same people today it did then.
