I am a regular reader of Jonathan Turley’s (Constitutional Lawyer and Fox News shill) website. He promotes himself as a First Amendment absolutist but only sees the wrongs being done to the Right and never the other way. It’s been a long time since I’ve been in a university setting, except for class reunions. Many of the examples he cites seem to favor the right of “conservative” professors to be obnoxious to those they disagree with, but there are some cases I agree with him. There are cases where students appear overly sensitive; I do think they have the right not to want university funds to be used to pay for certain speech. It isn’t really free speech if you charge for it. Nothing will be resolved here today, I imagine you and I could sit in a room and resolve most of the world’s problems, unfortunately, it isn’t up to us and there aren’t enough other reasonable people.
