Hello, Janine. Your comment appears to have nothing to do with my article, you had something you wanted to say about race (mostly an article by someone else) and you said it.

Notwithstanding the real housing issues at Howard and the very real issues of class (which caused race after Bacon’s Rebellion). The article and those few words of your own add up to saying a thing that isn’t real and satisfying yourself that you have destroyed the concept.

Please tell me in your own words what the main thesis is of the 1619 Project? I’m sure the author wouldn’t agree with you and wouldn’t she know better. Have you even read it? The article criticizes Ta-Nehisi Coates for not being a journalist despite his years at the Atlantic and describes one piece as if it was his most prominent (it wasn’t).

If you’re up to it, I’d love your definition of “identity politics” and what you think the “economic order” is? Join the conversation if you will but using your own words as opposed to sharing some article you think proves a point will be appreciated. And stay on topic.
